Text Box: To be clear — I am in no way connected with any political candidate, either as an employee or a volunteer.    20 years ago I was a registered Republican, then an independent, but since 1999  have been a registered Democrat.  My overall viewpoint on politics hasn’t changed that much — but the political center of gravity has shifted to the right.  I am not a party line voter — I think for myself and vote for the best candidate in any and every election.   I am not a professional political organizer, so any suggestions on how to turn this personal plea into something more active are welcome.   I’m staying unnamed as I don’t need the “flame wars” from extremists that would inevitably result from going public.  All abusive emails received will be automatically deleted — I don’t really care about those opinions anyway.
